The TCRT5000 IR reflective sensor Module utilizes the TCRT5000 IR Sensor for color and distance detection. This module comprises an IR transmitter and an IR receiver. The IR transmitter emits a continuous IR signal, which is then reflected by obstacles and detected by the IR receiver. Widely employed in applications like line-following robots and object sorting robots, the TCRT5000 Infrared Reflective Sensor Module discerns whether a surface is white or black.

With a measuring distance range spanning from 1mm to 8mm, with the central point approximately 2.5mm, this module features an onboard potentiometer for sensitivity adjustment. Upon powering on, the infrared diode continuously emits infrared light. If the emitted light isn’t reflected back or its strength is insufficient, the receiver diode remains inactive, resulting in a LOW output pin (DO).
