Description
The BT136 is a general-purpose TRIAC suitable for AC switching applications. Capable of handling up to 4A continuous current and up to 600V, it’s ideal for medium-power AC loads like dimmers, motor speed controllers, and other power management circuits. Its gate can be triggered with low current (just 10mA), making it compatible with popular microcontrollers such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
Since it’s a bidirectional switch, it can conduct in both directions once triggered—making it highly efficient for alternating current (AC) control.
