Returns, Refund and Warranty Policy

At Stemvolt, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If something goes wrong — whether the product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect — we are here to make it right. Please read this policy carefully before initiating a return or refund request.

1. Return eligibility

You may request a return or replacement within 5 days of delivery if the product meets all of the following conditions:

  • The product is unused and in its original condition
  • It is in its original packaging with all accessories, cables, and manuals included
  • The original invoice is available
  • The return reason falls under one of the accepted categories listed below

Accepted return reasons

  • Product received in damaged condition
  • Product is defective or not functioning as described
  • Wrong product delivered
Important: We strongly recommend recording an unboxing video when you receive your order. This helps us process your return or replacement request faster and avoids any disputes regarding the condition of the product at the time of delivery.

 

2. Non-returnable items

The following items are not eligible for return or replacement under any circumstances:

  • Products that have been used, soldered, or modified in any way
  • Batteries, wires, connectors, and other consumables
  • Clearance or sale items purchased at a discounted price
  • Custom-built or custom-configured products
  • Products damaged due to misuse, improper handling, static discharge, water exposure, or physical impact
  • Opened or partially used component kits where individual parts have been removed

Returns without a valid reason as listed above will not be accepted. Stemvolt reserves the right to make the final decision on all return and refund cases after inspection.

3. How to initiate a return

To request a return or replacement, follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Email us at support@stemvolt.in with the subject line “Return Request — [Your Order Number]”
  • Step 2: Include your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos or a short video of the defective or damaged product
  • Step 3: Our team will review your request within 2 working days and confirm whether the return is approved
  • Step 4: If approved, we will issue an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) number. This number must be clearly written on the outer packaging of the return shipment
  • Step 5: Ship the product back to us. Do not write or stick anything directly on the original product box or packaging

Returns sent without a valid RMA number will not be accepted and may be returned to the sender.

4. Return shipping

If the return is due to a defective, damaged, or incorrect product on our part, Stemvolt will bear the return shipping cost. We will either arrange a pickup or reimburse the shipping charges upon receipt of the returned product and verification of the claim.

If the return is for any other approved reason, the return shipping cost will be borne by the customer.

5. Inspection and approval

Once we receive the returned product, our technical team will inspect it within 3 working days. You will be notified of the inspection outcome via email or phone. If the product is found to be in acceptable condition and the return reason is valid, we will proceed with a replacement or refund as requested.

If the inspection reveals that the product has been damaged due to misuse, modification, or improper handling, the return will not be approved and the product will be sent back to you.

6. Replacement policy

If your return is approved and a replacement is requested, we will dispatch the replacement product within 3 to 5 working days of completing the inspection, subject to stock availability.

If the exact product is out of stock at the time of replacement, we will inform you and offer one of the following options:

  • Wait for the product to be restocked
  • Choose an equivalent alternative product
  • Receive a full refund to your original payment method

7. Refund policy

Refunds are processed only after the returned product has been received and inspected by our team. Once approved, refunds are credited as follows:

  • Online payments (UPI, card, net banking) — refunded to the original payment method within 5 to 7 business days
  • COD orders — refunded via bank transfer or store credit within 5 to 7 business days. Bank account details will be requested via email.

Please note that original shipping charges and COD processing fees are non-refundable in all cases.

8. Order cancellation

You may cancel your order only before it has been processed or dispatched from our warehouse. Once the order has been shipped, cancellation is not possible.

To cancel an order, contact us immediately at support@stemvolt.in or call +91-8078638838. For prepaid orders cancelled before dispatch, a full refund will be processed to the original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.

9. Warranty policy

Stemvolt honours manufacturer warranties on eligible products as described below:

Products with manufacturer warranty

  • Original Arduino boards — 1-year manufacturer warranty
  • Original Raspberry Pi boards — 1-year manufacturer warranty

Products without manufacturer warranty

All other products sold on our website — including sensors, modules, shields, drone components, accessories, and third-party development boards — do not carry a manufacturer warranty unless explicitly stated on the product page. These products are covered only under our 5-day return policy for defective or damaged items as described above.

What the warranty does not cover

  • Physical damage, broken pins, or bent connectors
  • Damage caused by incorrect wiring, reverse polarity, or overvoltage
  • Water damage or exposure to heavy moisture
  • Unauthorised modifications or tampering
  • Normal wear and tear

10. Important notice

All return, refund, replacement, and warranty decisions are subject to inspection and final approval by the Stemvolt technical team. Stemvolt reserves the right to reject requests that do not meet the conditions outlined in this policy. Any disputes arising from this policy are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Rajasthan, India.
