The 2.8 Inch SPI TFT Touch Screen Display Module is the most feature-complete display in the StemVolt display range, combining a 240×320 pixel full RGB color TFT LCD panel with a resistive touch layer — making it the only display in the range that accepts physical touch input alongside showing full color images, text in any color, button graphics, gauge widgets, and complete graphical user interface panels that no other display module in this lineup can provide. the tft touch display module contains individual color pixels — compared on the 1.3-inch OLED, and character cells on the 1602 LCD — enabling photographic image display, color-coded sensor dashboards, and styled menu interfaces on a microcontroller project.
The 2.8 inch spi tft display uses an SPI communication interface for the display data (fast serial transfer of all 76,800 pixel color values) and a separate resistive touch controller for reading touch coordinates — resistive touch detects physical pressure on the screen surface rather than capacitive proximity, which means it responds to a stylus, fingernail, or pen in addition to a bare finger and works reliably with gloves, making it practical for industrial and outdoor project enclosures.
The tft lcd display module operates from 3.3V to 5V, compatible with both Arduino 5V and ESP32 3.3V GPIO levels, and is supported by the Adafruit GFX and Adafruit ILI9341 libraries in the Arduino IDE for drawing shapes, text, images, and handling touch input coordinates.
