The 5.3V 3A APM Power Module with XT60 Connector is a compact voltage regulator board that sits between the LiPo battery and the APM or Pixhawk flight controller in a drone build, converting the raw LiPo battery voltage — which varies between 7.4V and 16.8V depending on cell count and charge level — into a clean, stable 5.3V output at up to 3A continuous current that safely powers the flight controller, its GPS module, and connected peripherals without exposing them to the full battery voltage that would damage the FC electronics.
The 5.3v apm power module XT60 input connector receives the LiPo battery lead, and the same full battery voltage passes through via XT60 output to the power distribution board or ESC so the motors receive full pack voltage while only the FC side gets the regulated 5.3V supply. The power module with xt60 connector accepts a maximum input voltage of 20V, covering all standard LiPo configurations from 2S (8.4V fully charged) through 3S (12.6V) and 4S (16.8V) — the most common LiPo cell counts used in APM and Pixhawk-based drone.
The 3A continuous current output is sufficient to power the APM flight controller, a GPS and compass module, a telemetry radio, and receiver simultaneously from the single regulated output without current limiting.
