The Vigor Premium Dual Shaft BO Motor 150 RPM Battery Operated motor – is a compact DC geared motor built to run directly from low-voltage battery sources without an external power regulator. The Dual Shaft BO Motor runs at 150 RPM across a 3V to 9V DC range, drawing between 40mA at no load and up to 180mA. Gears inside the yellow plastic gearbox body resist tooth stripping under the shock loads that occur when a robot reverses direction quickly or impacts an obstacle – plastic gear trains strip teeth under those same conditions.
The dual side shaft puts output shafts on both sides of the motor at once. The Vigor BO Motor at 150 RPM moves a standard 2wd chassis, 4wd chassis carrying electronics, sensors, and 9V battery without stalling under normal flat-surface operation. Current draw staying within 180mA keeps the motor inside the per-channel current limit of L298N and L293D motor driver modules.
These bo motor have a finite service life – expect brush wear to increase resistance gradually after several hundred hours of continuous use.
