1-8S Lipo Battery Voltage Tester

The 1-8S Lipo Battery Voltage Tester plugs directly into the balance connector of a LiPo, LiFe, Li-Ion, or LiMn pack and displays the voltage of every individual cell alongside the total pack voltage simultaneously. The Voltage Tester handles packs from 1 cell up to 8 cells in series covering 1S single-cell packs at 3.7V through 8S packs at up to 33.6V fully charged. Reading individual cell voltages tells the operator something a simple pack voltage measurement cannot, which cells are balanced and which are diverging from the others, because an imbalanced pack can show a normal total voltage while one cell sits dangerously low and another sits high.

The battery voltage tester cell voltage display range of 0.5V to 4.5V covers the full discharge-to-full-charge window of standard lithium chemistries. A cell reading below 3.5V on a lithium pack warrants immediate attention, and a reading below 3V indicates deep discharge damage has likely already occurred. The 1S test mode expands single-wire voltage range to 3.7V to 30V for single-wire voltage checks on larger packs without a balance connector.

The lipo checker powers itself from the measured battery through the balance plug no USB cable or separate power source is needed to use it in the field.
