10-Segment Red LED Bar Graph Display

The 10-Segment Red LED Bar Graph Display is a linear ten-LED indicator strip where each of the ten individual red LED segments can be independently to represent a level, percentage, or quantity in a clearly visible bar format — a completely different display type from the TFT, OLED, LCD, and dot-matrix modules, which show text or graphics. The 10 segment display shows values the way a battery meter shows charge level or an audio mixer shows volume — each segment represents 10% of the total, so lighting five segments shows 50% and all ten shows full scale. This makes the red display bar graph the simplest and most immediately readable visual level indicator for any project that needs to show a quantity on a scale rather than display text or a number.

The 10 segment led bar graph uses common cathode configuration — all ten cathodes share a single ground connection, and each of the ten anodes is individually controlled through a current-limiting resistor from the microcontroller GPIO pin or shift register output. The 10 segment led bar arduino can connect the ten anodes directly to ten digital GPIO pins on an Arduino or ESP32, or to the outputs of a 74HC595 shift register to free up GPIO pins for other functions.
