The 10mm nickel plated strip 1 meter for battery pack assembly is the standard interconnect material for spot-welded 18650 and 21700 battery pack assembly. Nickel plated steel combines the weldability of steel which forms reliable spot welds under the pulse current a spot welder delivers with the corrosion resistance of the nickel plating layer that protects the contact surface inside sealed battery pack enclosures. The 10mm width covers the full diameter of a standard 18650 cell end terminal, providing maximum contact area across the weld points.
The nickel strip for battery pack cuts to any tab length needed for the specific pack layout series connections, parallel connections and BMS board pad connections all cut from the same 1 metre roll. The battery nickel strip high conductivity keeps resistance at the cell-to-cell interconnect low, which reduces heat generation at the tab during high current discharge and preserves pack efficiency.
