The 2S 2A Step Up Boost Lithium Battery Charger Module with Type-C input is a dedicated charger board for two-cell lithium battery packs — where two Li-ion or LiPo cells are connected in series to form a 2S pack with a nominal voltage of 7.4V and a full charge voltage of 8.4V. This 2s lithium battery charger module accepts 8V to 12V DC input through a USB Type-C port and charges the connected 2S pack to exactly 8.4V at up to 2A, which is the correct termination voltage for safely and fully charging, Li-ion, or LiPo battery pack without overcharging the individual cells.
The 2s battery charger module differs from a single-cell LiPo charger such as the CN3065 — a single-cell charger outputs 4.2V for one cell only and cannot safely charge a two-cell series pack, which requires the higher 8.4V output that this module provides. The type c 2s charger module’s onboard overcharge protection monitors the charge cycle and stops current delivery automatically when the battery reaches 8.4V full charge, protecting the cells from damage caused by continued charging beyond the safe voltage limit.
