The A3144 Hall Effect Sensor Module detects magnetic field presence using the A3144 chip and switches its digital output accordingly. The hall sensor module runs on 3.3V to 5V DC with a 4-pin VCC GND DO AO interface connecting directly to Arduino or ESP GPIO.
The a3144 hall effect sensor arduino projects use the DO pin for detection. One non-obvious detail is that the A3144 responds only to the south pole face of a magnet, so orientation matters during installation. The DO pin is open-collector and needs a pull-up resistor for reliable readings.
Speed counter builders use the hall effect sensor module with Arduino IDE or MicroPython. StemVolt provide this a3144 module with 2mm mounting holes ready to fix on brackets.
