The DIY Kit 4 DOF Robot Manipulator Arm Mechanical Arm Kit is a wooden four-axis robot arm platform designed for university students, college robotics projects, and experienced DIY makers. It provides four degrees of freedom covering base rotation, shoulder, elbow, and gripper — the same joint configuration used in industrial pick-and-place robot arms. The 4dof robot arm kit uses servo motor mounts at each joint, accepting standard SG90 servo motors for actuation.

Servo motors are not included in this kit. You need four servo motors separately to make the arm move. This is a structural frame kit, not a complete ready-to-run robot. The lifting capacity of approximately 10 to 15 grams per servo depends entirely on the torque rating of the servos you choose higher torque servos will lift more. The non-obvious advantage of the wooden structure is easy modification joints can be repositioned and links can be extended with additional wooden parts without needing special tools or machining.

The manipulator arm for robotics is widely used by Indian engineering students for Arduino robot arm projects, final year robotics lab submissions, and college technical festival demonstrations.
