The SIM900A AE GSM GPRS Module With SMA Antenna gives project the ability to send SMS (Short Message Service), make calls, and transfer data over a mobile network. It runs on GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) 900 and 1800 MHz bands, which are the two most common bands active across India. The SIM900A AE GSM GPRS Module connects to your microcontroller through a UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter) serial interface using AT commands. Power it from a 9 to 12V DC supply and insert a standard SIM card to get started.
