A2212 2200KV Brushless Motor for RC Airplanes and Quadcopters

The A2212 2200KV Brushless Motor is a brushless outrunner motor rated at 2200KV — the motor bell spins at approximately 2200 RPM per volt of supply, reaching around 16,280 RPM on a 2S LiPo at 7.4V and approximately 24,420 RPM on a 3S LiPo at 11.1V — making it a high-speed motor suited to the smaller 5 to 7 inch propellers used on RC fixed-wing aircraft, foam planes, and quadcopter builds where high RPM and lighter propeller loading are needed.

This a2212 brushless motor is an outrunner design — the outer bell of the motor rotates around the fixed inner stator — which is the standard configuration for RC plane nose motors and multirotor motors because the rotating bell directly mounts the propeller without an additional gearbox. The 2200kv bldc motor is rated for a maximum current of 12A and maximum power output of 150W, operating from 2S to 3S LiPo batteries at 7.4V to 11.1V the highest performance output for demanding RC plane builds.

The brushless drone motor’s 3.17mm shaft diameter is different from the 6mm shaft used by the 920KV DJI-style motors — the 3.17mm shaft accepts the bullet propeller adapter and prop saver accessories already listed at StemVolt for 3.17mm shaft motors.
