L9110S DC Stepper Motor Driver Module

The L9110S DC Stepper Motor Driver Module contains two independent H-bridge channels on one chip — each channel can drive a DC motor in forward and reverse by switching current direction through the output terminals. When both channels drive the two coil pairs of a small 4-wire stepper motor in sequence, the module steps the motor one position at a time through full-step or half-step control patterns from the host microcontroller. The Stepper Motor Driver module therefore handles two separate DC motors, or one bipolar stepper motor, from a single compact board without needing separate driver ICs for each.

The l9110s motor driver operating range from 2.5V to 12V DC accommodates single Li-Ion cells at 3.7V, 2S LiPo packs at 7.4V, and standard 5V and 9V supplies within the same module. At 800mA maximum operating current, the stepper motor driver module suits small 28BYJ-48 style stepper motors operating in unipolar mode with a bipolar adapter, small N20 gearbox motors, and compact DC gear motors in low-load positioning.  The module’s control inputs accept standard logic-level PWM and digital signals, connecting directly to Arduino and ESP32 GPIO pins without additional circuitry.

Mounting via the 4mm hole fixes the board securely inside enclosures and chassis. The 800mA rating is the maximum per channel. Running continuously at or near this limit generates heat in the L9110S package without external heatsinking. For sustained high-current stepper drives, a driver rated above 1A with thermal management is more appropriate.
