Description

The SD Card Reader Module connects Micro SD and TF cards to microcontrollers over SPI protocol. It operates from 3.3V to 5.5V, so no separate power rail is needed for Arduino or Raspberry Pi boards. The sd card module routes four data lines — MISO, MOSI, SCK, and CS — through a standard six-pin header. Current draw sits between 0.2mA and 200mA depending on read or write activity.

This sd card reader supports FAT32 file system only. Cards formatted in exFAT or NTFS will not mount. Keep card size at 32GB or below for reliable FAT32 compatibility. Most Arduino SD library examples work without any changes once the card is correctly formatted.

The micro sd card module is widely used by engineering students and hobbyists across India.
