The TEC1-12706 Thermoelectric Cooler Peltier Module is a 40mm × 40mm × 3.6mm bismuth telluride thermoelectric tile rated at 12V DC with 6A maximum current, 92W heat pumping capacity (Qmax), 15.4V maximum voltage, and 1.98Ω ±10% internal resistance. The peltier module 12v works on the Peltier effect — when DC current passes through the module’s semiconductor junctions, one face becomes cold while the opposite face becomes hot, creating a temperature differential across the two ceramic surfaces without any moving parts, refrigerant, or compressor.
