The 1000 KV High Voltage Booster Module is a step-up DC-to-high-voltage pulse generator that accepts 3V to 6V DC at 2A to 5A input and produces pulsed high-voltage discharge arcs spanning 10mm to 20mm between the output electrodes. The high voltage booster module operates by rapidly switching current through a step-up transformer or flyback coil, building voltage on each cycle until the electrode air gap breaks down and discharges as a visible electrical arc. Powering this 1000kv high voltage generator from a 3.7V LiPo cell or four AA batteries provides sufficient energy to sustain continuous arc discharge demonstrations.

The “1000kV” specification on this high voltage module refers to the peak instantaneous arc discharge voltage estimated from electrode gap and air dielectric breakdown — it is not a sustained DC output voltage that can be measured with a standard voltmeter. The actual arc voltage depends on electrode gap distance, humidity, temperature, and air pressure. The 1000kv high voltage module arc distance of 10mm to 20mm represents the gap at which reliable breakdown occurs under standard atmospheric conditions. One critical trade-off: this 1000kv high voltage generator module produces an electric shock hazard — the output arc carries sufficient energy to cause painful and potentially dangerous electric shock.
