L293D 4 Channel DC Motor Driver

The L293D 4 channel dc motor driver provides four independent H-bridge channels in a single IC, each capable of driving a brushed DC motor in forward or reverse direction from a logic level input signal. With four channels available, the IC drives four individual DC motors or two motors using paired channels for higher combined current capacity connecting two channels in parallel per motor doubles the current handling to 1.2A per motor pair from the standard 600mA per single channel.

The L293D motor driver, TTL and DTL logic compatibility connects directly to Arduino digital output pins at 5V without level shifting. The 4.5V to 25V motor supply range covers 5V BO motor, 9V battery powered chassis, 12V gear motor and 24V industrial control from the same IC. The dc motor driver onboard enable pins accept PWM input for proportional speed control on each channel duty cycle on the enable pin sets motor speed from stopped to maximum. Available on StemVolt.
