MQ-8 Gas Sensor Module | Hydrogen Gas Detector

The MQ-8 gas sensor module specifically detects hydrogen (H2) gas by measuring its concentration in the surrounding air. It runs at 5V DC and outputs an analog voltage (a variable signal that changes relative to pollution level) between 0.1 and 0.3V on the output pin. One non-obvious technical detail is that the MQ-8 uses a heated metal oxide element that draws 150mA continuously, even when no gas is present.
