The SYD1230 Red Line Laser Module 650nm 5mW is a 12mm diameter line laser projecting a flat, straight red laser line at a 120° fan angle using an optical glass cylindrical lens, operating from 3V to 5V DC at up to 40mA current draw. The SYD1230 Line Laser Module differs from common dot laser modules — the cylindrical lens spreads the laser beam into a continuous line rather than a point, making it suited for alignment, levelling, edge detection, and 3D scanning applications where a line reference is needed rather than a single point.
