12V 10A SPDT PCB Mount Relay Cube

The 12V 10A SPDT PCB Mount Relay Cube is an electromechanical relay with a 12V DC coil and silver alloy contacts rated at 10A, designed for through-hole mounting directly on a PCB — when 12V is applied to the coil, the internal magnetic mechanism switches the contact, and when the coil voltage is removed, the contact returns to its default position. The relay cube has SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) contacts, means it provides three connection points: a common pin (COM), a normally open pin (NO) that connects to COM when the relay is energised, and a normally closed pin (NC) that connects to COM when the relay is off and disconnects.

The 12v 10a spdt relay’s NC contact is particularly useful for fail-safe circuit designs — connecting the load through NC means it stays powered even if the relay loses its 12V control signal, and only switches off when the relay is actively turned on, which is the reverse of the more common NO connection.
