Description

The Sensor Shield V5.0 Expansion Board for Arduino solves one of the most common frustrations in early-stage prototyping — messy wiring. When you’re connecting multiple sensors, servos, and communication modules to an Arduino, the standard pin headers quickly become a tangle of jumper wires on a breadboard. This shield eliminates that problem by breaking out every I/O pin into a clean three-pin header: VCC, GND, and Signal, all at 2.54 mm pitch. Most Grove-style and standard Arduino sensors plug straight in without any additional wiring.

The shield sits directly on top of an Arduino Uno  and  Mega 2560, Duemilanove, Diecimila, or NG board. All 14 digital I/O pins including the 6 PWM-capable ones, and all 6 analog input pins are exposed this way. For servo-heavy builds, the board supports up to 32 servo interfaces — 18 to 23 on an Uno and more when paired with a Mega.

Communication is well covered too. There are dedicated headers for Bluetooth modules, APC220 wireless RF modules, I²C devices, SPI peripherals, SD card modules, and UART serial communication — all clearly labelled on the PCB.

Power flexibility is handled through a jumper wire. By default, the shield draws 5V from the Arduino. When driving multiple servos or sensors with higher current demands, you can connect an external power supply through the 2-pin screw terminal and configure the jumper accordingly to keep your Arduino’s regulator out of the loop.

StemVolt provide this shield for makers and electronics experimenters who want to move fast from idea to working prototype without spending time on wiring fundamentals every session.
