The JF-0730B DC 12V Push-Pull Linear Solenoid Electromagnet Actuator produces straight-line mechanical motion using an internal wound coil and ferromagnetic plunger. Apply 12V DC and the plunger pushes or pulls with 5N of force across a 10mm stroke. The linear solenoid 12v draws 1A at rated voltage and comes with a 15cm cable, so connecting it to a relay or MOSFET driver is straightforward from day one.
The jf0730b linear solenoid actuator operates on a short-duty-cycle basis, not continuous operation. Running it energised for more than a few seconds at a time causes the coil to heat and degrades insulation over repeated cycles. A non-obvious detail is that the rated 5N force applies at a specific plunger position near the start of travel. Force drops significantly as the plunger extends toward the full 10mm stroke because the air gap between plunger and core increases. Design electromagnetic actuator mechanical load to engage the plunger at mid-stroke rather than full extension for the most consistent force output.
Automation engineers, and makers use the electromagnetic actuator to control latches, dispensers, and valve mechanisms. Pair it with a MOSFET driver board or relay module triggered from Arduino. StemVolt provides sensor with trusted quality, ensuring reliable performance.
