The CC3D Shock Absorber is a glass fiber vibration-damping mount platform designed specifically for smaller flight controllers used in mini quad builds — compatible with CC3D, Naze32, Mini APM, and Flip32 boards — where the compact FC footprint of these boards requires a smaller, correctly-sized anti-vibration platform rather than the larger mount used for full-size APM or Pixhawk controllers. Mini quad frames in the 180 to 250 class are stiffer and more rigid than larger drone frames, which means motor and propeller vibration transmits through the frame with less natural damping, making a dedicated vibration-isolating.
The cc3d shock absorber mount uses the same two-plate glass fiber and rubber shock absorber ball principle as larger FC mounts — the bottom plate bolts to the mini quad frame, the top plate carries the CC3D or Naze32 flight controller, and the rubber shock absorber balls between the plates absorb the high-frequency vibration from the motors before it reaches the gyroscope and accelerometer inside the FC. The glass fiber plates are lightweight and non-conductive, adding minimal weight to the already weight-sensitive mini quadcopter
