The SW-18015P Vibration Sensor detects mechanical vibration and shock using an internal conductive spring that makes contact on movement. When any vibration or impact occurs, the spring touches the central pin, closing the circuit and outputting a signal change. The vibration sensor runs up to 12V at a maximum current of 50mA, connecting directly to any Arduino digital input pin without extra circuitry.
The sw 18015p vibration sensor has high vibration response sensitivity, but a non-obvious limitation is that it is a passive contact sensor with no onboard signal conditioning. At slow, low-amplitude vibrations the spring may not make reliable contact, causing missed detections. StemVolt provides this sensor with trusted quality, ensuring reliable performance and easy usability.
