Description

The DHT22 Digital Temperature sensor measures both air temperature and humidity through a single digital data pin (a communication line that sends readings as digital pulse sequences rather than analog voltages). The dht22 sensor price reflects its accuracy compared to basic sensors, covering a temperature range of -40°C to 80°C and a humidity range of 0 to 100 percent RH at 3.3V to 5V operating voltage.

The dht22 sensor uses a capacitive humidity element (a component that changes electrical capacitance with moisture content) and a thermistor (a temperature-sensitive resistor) built onto a single housing. The DHT22 requires a pull-up resistor (typically 10K ohm) on the data line for reliable communication.
