Description

The Piezoelectric Tap Shock and Vibration Sensor detects physical impacts using a metal ceramic piezo disc that generates a voltage spike on any tap or shock. The piezoelectric shock tap sensor outputs both a TTL digital signal and an analog signal. It runs on 5V DC and the output reads directly on any Arduino GPIO.

The vibration sensor piezoelectric disc responds better to sharp taps than low-frequency rumble, as sensitivity peaks at the disc’s resonant frequency. A maximum control current of 1A means the digital output can drive a small relay directly. The LED on board lights on every detection event.
